Regular Season Round 9: Dandenong - Perth 65-63

The most surprising game was a loss of top-ranked Perth Lynx (9-4) on the court of fifth ranked Dandenong Rangers on Friday night. Visitors were edged by Dandenong Rangers 65-63. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Perth Lynx won fourth quarter 21-13. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. It was a good game for international forward Sara Blicavs (188-93) who led her team to a victory with 15 points and 5 rebounds. Forward Jacinta Kennedy (187-82) contributed with 12 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. American swingman Samantha Whitcomb (178-88, college: Washington) answered with 10 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists and power forward Carley Mijovic (196-94, agency: LBM Management) added 12 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Perth Lynx. Four Perth Lynx players scored in double figures. Dandenong Rangers maintains fifth place with 6-5 record. Perth Lynx at the other side still keeps top position with four games lost. Dandenong Rangers are looking forward to face bottom-ranked Canberra Capitals (#9) at home in the next round. Perth Lynx will play against SEQ (#6) and is hoping to win this game.
