There was no surprise when 11th ranked Trefl II Sopot (2-8) was defeated at home by eighth ranked Domino Inowr. (4-6) 75-61 on Saturday. Domino Inowr. outrebounded Trefl II Sopot 40-25 including a 29-16 advantage in defensive rebounds. Point guard Michal Warchowski (187-94) scored 9 points and 11 assists to lead the charge for the winners and forward Marcin Majer (199-88) chipped in 10 points and 11 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side Rafal Stefanik (197-94, agency: Promotex) responded with 16 points and forward Tomasz Dylicki (193-98) scored 7 points and 5 assists. Trefl II Sopot's coach Janusz Kociolek let to play twelve players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Newly promoted Domino Inowr. maintains eighth position in Group A with 4-6 record. Trefl II Sopot lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the eleventh place with eight games lost. Domino Inowr. will face Itago Gdynia (#11) at home in the next round. Trefl II Sopot will play against AZS PGd in Gdansk and hope to win that game.
