There was an upset in Civitanova Marche where higher ranked Castellammare (4-4) was defeated by tenth ranked Civitanova (4-5) 79-73 on Saturday. The hosts trailed by 2 points after three quarters before their 20-12 charge, which allowed them to win the game. Civitanova made 23-of-26 free shots (88.5 percent) during the game. They also forced 23 Castellammare turnovers. The best player for the winners was Bosnian center Selma Delibasic (193-80) who had a double-double by scoring 25 points and 11 rebounds. Guard Veronica Perini (175-88) chipped in 18 points and 4 assists (went 10 for 10 at the free throw line !!!). At the other side the best for losing team was guard Greta Brunelli (176-90) who recorded 26 points and 5 steals and center Maria Minervino (194-86) added 18 points respectively. Civitanova moved-up to eighth place, which they share with Marghera. Loser Castellammare dropped to the sixth position with four games lost. Civitanova will face Salerno (#14) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game.
