Regular Season Round 15: Gimle BBK - Kongsberg 93-87

Another exciting game for Gimle BBK (5-7) which hosted in Bergen against 4th placed Kongsberg (6-4). Eighth ranked Gimle BBK won 93-87. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Kongsberg. Kongsberg was ahead by 2 points after three quarters before a 26-18 charge of Gimle BBK, which allowed them to win the game. It was a great evening for the former international guard Daniel Berg (195-86, college: NYIT) who led his team to a victory scoring 31 points. Guard Mikkel Kolstad (184-95) helped adding 27 points and 5 assists. The best for the losing side was American guard Aareon Smith (193-93, college: Mo.-St.Louis) with 36 points (!!!), 7 rebounds and 4 assists and guard Oivind Lundestad (194-91, college: Point Loma) scored 15 points. Four Kongsberg players scored in double figures. Gimle BBK maintains eighth place with 5-7 record. Newly promoted Kongsberg keeps the fourth position with four games lost. Gimle BBK will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Kongsberg will play on the road against Fyllingen BBK (#10) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
