Regular Season Round 12: Sallen - Fryshuset 79-55
Date: December 5, 2015
No shocking result in a game in Uppsala where fourth ranked Sallen (8-4) smashed 9th ranked Fryshuset (1-12) 79-55 on Saturday. The game without a history. Sallen led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Fryshuset's 30. They outrebounded Fryshuset 50-27 including a 36-21 advantage in defensive rebounds. Worth to mention a great performance of American guard Tiffany Brown (165-86, college: Georgia South) who helped to win the game recording 15 points, 6 rebounds and 9 assists and the former international Kadidja Andersson (183-80, college: Minnesota) who added 16 points and 12 rebounds during the contest. Five Sallen players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was guard Danielle Elvbo (168-94) with 10 points and Erica Iderstal (172-94) scored 12 points. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Sallen maintains fourth position with 8-4 record. Fryshuset lost sixth consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the ninth place with 12 games lost. Sallen will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Fryshuset's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Stockholm Alvik Basket.
