Very predictable result when fourth ranked Shimane Magic (13-6) rolled over at home 11th ranked Saitama Broncos (1-16) 105-76 on Saturday. The hosts trailed by 2 points at the halftime before their 62-31 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. Shimane Magic dominated down low during the game scoring 64 of its points in the paint compared to Saitama Broncos' 34. They outrebounded Saitama Broncos 46-22 including a 23-5 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was a good game for American forward Scootie Randall (198-90, college: Temple) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 33 points (!!!) and 11 rebounds. His fellow American import forward Josh Davis (203-91, college: San Diego St.) contributed with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 17 rebounds for the winners. Four Shimane Magic players scored in double figures. Guard Janya Masumoto (183-88) answered with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 11 rebounds and swingman Mitsuhiro Kamezaki (189-86) added 26 points (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line) in the effort for Saitama Broncos. Saitama Broncos' coach gave up on the game allowing to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. Shimane Magic have an impressive series of seven victories in a row. They maintain fourth place with 13-6 record. Saitama Broncos lost ninth consecutive game. They keep the eleventh position with 16 games lost. Shimane Magic will face again Saitama Broncos (#11) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game.
