Very predictable result when first ranked Kotwica (9-1) smashed on the road 6th ranked Koscian (5-5) 107-72 on Saturday. Kotwica looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists. Marcin Chudy (187-86) scored 15 points, 9 rebounds and 8 assists to lead the charge for the winners and Grzegorz Arabas (191-78, agency: Promotex) chipped in 26 points during the contest. Five Kotwica players scored in double figures. At the losing side forward Waldemar Kabat (196-86) responded with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 10 rebounds and guard Pawel Ciazkowski (190-86) scored 11 points and 8 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Kotwica have an impressive nine-game winning streak. They maintain first position in Group A with 9-1 record. Loser Koscian keeps the sixth place with five games lost. Kotwica will face SMS PZKosz (#7) in Wladyslawowo in the next round where they are favorite. Koscian will play on the road against Asseco II in Gdynia and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
