Not a big story in a game when 10th ranked Itago Gdynia (2-8) was defeated at home by second ranked AZS UMK Torun (8-2) 86-77 on Saturday. AZS UMK Torun dominated down low during the game scoring 48 of its points in the paint compared to Itago Gdynia's 28. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Radoslaw Plebanek (190-85) scored 26 points and 5 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and guard Zbigniew Malinowski (188-84) chipped in 19 points and 4 steals during the contest. At the losing side Piotr Peksyk (196-91) responded with 21 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists and guard Tristan Balinski (187-88) scored 29 points. AZS UMK Torun will face TKM Wloclawek (#10) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Itago Gdynia will play against Domino Inowr. in Inowroclaw and hope to win that game.
