No shocking result in a game when eleventh ranked Desio (5-6) defeated on the road 15th ranked Moncalieri (2-9) 73-66 on Saturday. Desio made 19-of-25 free shots (76.0 percent) during the game. The best player for the winners was center Filippo Politi (205-80) who scored 24 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Guard Daniele Quartieri (195-87, agency: SPORTlab Agency) chipped in 15 points and 8 rebounds. Swingman Tommaso Baldasso (194-98) produced 22 points and 7 rebounds and swingman Leone Gioria (194-84) added 13 points and 6 rebounds respectively for the hosts. Desio moved-up to eighth place in B, which they share with Varese Coels. Moncalieri lost fourth consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the fifteenth position with nine games lost. Desio will face higher ranked Crema (#5) at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Moncalieri will play against Milano Urania (#3) and hope to win that game.
