Regular Season Round 10: Caballos - Toros 74-73

The most exciting game of round 10 in the LPB took place in Aguadulce. This derby game ended with only one-point defeat on the road of one of their biggest challengers Toros (5-5) to second ranked Caballos (6-4) 74-73 in the game for the second place. Caballos looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. Power forward Joel Tesis (206-82, college: John Brown) scored 6 points, 20 rebounds and 4 assists to lead the charge for the winners and the former international swingman Akbar Lawson (198-81) chipped in 24 points during the contest. At the losing side the former international point guard Joel Munoz (183-80, agency: Paris Global Sports) responded with 17 points and 8 assists and naturalized Honduran center Pedro Salazar (205-72) produced a double-double by scoring 13 points and 12 rebounds. Four Toros players scored in double figures. Toros' coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Caballos maintains second position with 6-4 record behind leader Correcaminos. Toros at the other side dropped to the third place with five games lost. They share the position with Aguilas and Panteras.
