Regular Season Round 13: Mulhouse - La Rochelle 64-65

A very interesting game took place in Mulhouse. It ended with only one-point home defeat of higher ranked Mulhouse Basket (7-5) to twelfth ranked La Rochelle (7-6) 65-64 on Saturday evening. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Mulhouse Basket. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Mulhouse Basket won fourth quarter 19-13. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Worth to mention a great performance of Slovakian power forward Justin Sedlak (206-87, college: Florida Tech, agency: Octagon Europe) who helped to win the game recording 16 points. American forward William Walker (200-87, college: Bethel, IN, agency: Octagon Europe) contributed with 10 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Walker is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. American forward Durell Vinson (201-85, college: Wagner) answered with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 10 rebounds and swingman Parfait Njiba (198-89, agency: Octagon Europe) added 12 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for Mulhouse Basket. La Rochelle moved-up to ninth place, which they share with Caen. Mulhouse Basket at the other side dropped to the fifth position with five games lost. La Rochelle's next round opponent will be higher ranked GET Vosges (#8) in Golbey and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Mulhouse Basket will play at home against UB Chartres and hope to win that game.
