Regular Season Round 12: KFUM Blackeberg - KFUM Central 69-72

Important game to mention about took place in Vallingby. Third ranked KFUM Central (7-3) saved a 3-point victory on the road edging 7th ranked KFUM Blackeberg (5-5) 72-69 on Saturday evening. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of KFUM Blackeberg. The guests were ahead by 8 points but lost the second period ending it with a 2-point deficit before their 22-17 run, which allowed them to win the game. KFUM Central dominated on the defensive end, holding KFUM Blackeberg to just 7 points in second quarter. KFUM Central shot 24 for 42 from the free-throw line, while KFUM Blackeberg only scored seven points from the stripe. KFUM Central forced 19 KFUM Blackeberg turnovers. KFUM Blackeberg was plagued by 32 personal fouls down the stretch. Worth to mention a great performance of Arnold Calle who helped to win the game recording 22 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists and swingman Johan Westerlund (191-84) who added 22 points and 7 rebounds during the contest. The best for the losing side was forward Simon Forsberg (197-90) with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 11 rebounds and Ramon Habtezghi scored 12 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Despite that victory KFUM Central went down to fourth position due to points difference. KFUM Blackeberg at the other side dropped to the sixth place with five games lost. They share the position with Jarfalla. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
