Regular Season Round 11: Empoli - Napoli Basket 61-55

The biggest surprise took place in Empoli where host Empoli (5-6) beat Napoli Basket (9-2) 61-55 on Saturday evening. The best player for the winners was forward Filippo Mascagni (195-93) who scored 14 points and 8 rebounds. Gianni Terrosi (191-89) chipped in 12 points. Guard Simone Berti (196-85) produced 21 points and 7 rebounds and point guard Armando Iannone (187-90) added 9 points and 6 rebounds respectively for the guests. Empoli moved-up to eighth place in B, which they share with Desio and Varese Coels. Napoli Basket at the other side dropped to the second position with two games lost. They share it with Milano Urania. They were replaced at the leadership position by Roma E-basket. Napoli Basket will play next round against strong Palestrina trying to make it back to the top of the standings. Empoli will try to continue on its current victory against sixteenth ranked Venafro on the road.
