Regular Season Round 12: IK Eos - Talje 67-66

The most exciting game of round 12 in the Basketettan took place in Lund. This derby game ended with only one-point defeat on the road of 5th ranked Talje Knights (6-3) to third ranked IK Eos (7-2) 67-66 in the game for the third place. The hosts trailed by 3 points after three quarters before their 27-23 charge, which allowed them to win the game. It was a good game for center David Hult (204-89) who saved his team from a defeat with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 12 rebounds. American forward Erik Friman (194-92, college: Iona) contributed with 18 points for the winners. point guard Henrik Sjolin (183-97) replied with 21 points and 8 rebounds and power forward Michiel Petersen (202-94) added 15 points and 14 rebounds in the effort for Talje Knights. IK Eos maintains third position with 7-2 record behind leader Hogsbo, which they share with KFUM Uppsala. Talje Knights at the other side dropped to the fourth place with three games lost. They share the position with Koping. IK Eos is looking forward to face RIG Mark (#12) in Kinna in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Talje Knights will play at home against Koping (#4) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
