Regular Season Round 11: Prat - Palma 62-83

There was no surprise when 16th ranked CB Prat (1-10) was crushed at home by second ranked Palma (9-2) 83-62 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Palma. CB Prat was better in third quarter 17-16. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded CB Prat 42-28 including a 31-19 advantage in defensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was the former international power forward Ricardo Guillen (207-76, agency: Duran International) who had a double-double by scoring 17 points and 13 rebounds. Point guard Mikel Uriz (182-89) chipped in 13 points. Center Oscar Amo (204-97) produced 9 points and 8 rebounds and guard Sergi Costa (189-96) added 9 points respectively for the hosts. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. The victory was the seventh consecutive win for Palma. They maintain second place with 9-2 record behind leader Palencia. CB Prat lost their eighth game in a row. They stay at the bottom position with ten games lost. Palma will face Cocinas.com (#15) in Logrono in the next round which should be another easy win for them. CB Prat will play on the road against Burgos and hope to win that game.
