The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Kvarner as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Kvarner defeated 9th ranked Vrijednosnice OS in Rijeka 88-74. The game was mostly controlled by Kvarner. Vrijednosnice OS managed to win third quarter 25-22. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international power forward Sime Spralja (205-83, agency: Court Side) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 14 points and 10 rebounds. The former international guard Sinisa Stemberger (196-79) contributed with 21 points (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field) for the winners. point guard Luka Panduric (190-93, agency: XL Basketball Agency) replied with 13 points and power forward Mise Diminic (208-89, agency: XL Basketball Agency) added 11 points in the effort for Vrijednosnice OS. Five Kvarner and four Vrijednosnice OS players scored in double figures. Vrijednosnice OS's coach rotated ten players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Kvarner have a solid four-game winning streak. As mentioned above they are alone now at the top position. Vrijednosnice OS at the other side dropped to the eighth place with seven games lost. They share the position with 3 other teams. Vrijednosnice OS will play next round against strong GKK Sibenik trying to get back on the winning streak. Kvarner will try to continue on its current victory against fifth ranked Alkar Sinj on the road.
