Regular Season Round 9: TU/Rock - Parnu 93-63

The game between Top Four teams took place in Tartu. Second ranked host TU/Rock (8-2) smashed 4th placed Parnu (4-4) 93-63. 93-63. The game without a history. TU/Rock led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They made 18-of-22 free shots (81.8 percent) during the game. TU/Rock outrebounded Parnu 46-30 including a 38-23 advantage in defensive rebounds. 25 personal fouls committed by Parnu helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The former international guard Tanel Kurbas (197-88) stepped up and scored 21 points for the winners and Canadian-Lithuanian point guard Evaldas Zabas (188-88) chipped in 13 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists. Four TU/Rock players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was Lithuanian forward Paulius Petrilevicius (200-91) with 16 points and 7 rebounds (perfect from the field making all six shots) and point guard Norman Kabin (184-97, agency: Beo Basket) scored 9 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. TU/Rock have a solid series of three victories in a row. Defending champion maintains second place with 8-2 record having just -1 point less than leader Rapla. Parnu at the other side keeps the fourth position with four games lost. They share it with TLU/Kalev. TU/Rock are looking forward to face league's leader Rapla at home in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Parnu will play against Valga and is hoping to prove to their supporters that this time they can win.
