The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Nice as it allowed them to take a leadership position after previous leader's (Villeneuve D'Ascq) loss. Nice smashed 13th ranked Toulouse at home 77-35. The game was mostly controlled by Nice. Toulouse was better in second period 21-16. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Toulouse to just 2 points in fourth quarter and to 8 points in second half. Nice held Toulouse to an opponent 24.6 percent shooting from the field compared to 53.1 percent accuracy of the winners. As mentioned above they are at the top of the standings, which they share with Villeneuve and Lattes Montp. Toulouse lost fourth consecutive game. They dropped to the bottom place with seven games lost. They share the position with COB Calais and Arras. Toulouse will play next round against Bourges trying to get back on the winning streak. Nice will try to continue on its current victory against tenth ranked Hainaut at Saint-Amand.
