The game in Forssa was also quite interesting. 5th ranked Espoo Team (4-6) played at the court of sixth ranked Forssan Alku (5-6). Forssan Alku managed to secure a 5-point victory 84-79 on Saturday. Espoo Team was trailing by 2 points at halftime but managed to get 5-point lead after three quarters before a 23-13 charge of Forssan Alku, which allowed them to win the game. Forssan Alku shot 20 for 31 from the free-throw line, while Espoo Team only scored three points from the stripe. American players dominated the game. Guard Candice Warthen (165-92, college: Arizona) notched 23 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists to lead the effort and forward Crystal Leary (185-92, college: W.Virginia) supported her with 15 points and 15 rebounds. Even a double-double of 19 points and 14 rebounds by guard Deanna Weaver (180, college: Boise St.) did not help to save the game for Espoo Team. Guard Danielle Ballard (175-93, college: LSU) added 17 points, 6 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals for lost side. Four Espoo Team players scored in double figures. Espoo Team's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Forssan Alku moved-up to fifth place. Newly promoted Espoo Team dropped to the sixth position with six games lost. Forssan Alku will meet higher ranked Tapiolan Honka (#4) on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Espoo Team will play against the league's second-placed ViVe and hope to secure a win.
