Second Stage Round 6: Shenyang - Shanghai 87-94

There was no surprise in Dandong where 5th ranked Shenyang Golden Lions (1-5) were defeated by second ranked Shanghai Dahua (5-1) 94-87 on Saturday. Shanghai Dahua shot 62.3 percent from the field. The best player for the winners was Australian center Elizabeth Cambage (203-91) who scored 28 points (on 11-of-12 shooting from the field). International point guard Xiufeng Shi (178-87) chipped in 19 points. Four Shanghai Dahua players scored in double figures. Shanghai Dahua's coach used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. At the other side the best for losing team was international forward Meng Li (185-95) who recorded 35 points (!!!) and 7 rebounds and international forward Shuang Zhao (188-90) added 23 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists respectively. Shanghai Dahua keeps a position of Top 6 leader. Loser Shenyang Golden Lions keep the fifth place with five games lost. Shanghai Dahua will face Shanxi Rui Flame (#6) in Taiyuan in the next round where they are favorite. Shenyang Golden Lions will play on the road against the league's second-placed Beijing Great Wall and hope to win that game.
