Regular Season Round 14: Jiangsu TX - Zhejiang CB 101-102

Important game to mention about took place in Jiangsu. Seventh ranked Zhejiang Chouzhou Bank (8-6) saved a 1-point victory on the road edging 14th ranked Jiangsu TX (5-9) 102-101 on Sunday evening. Guest team only slightly avoided a big embarassment. Jiangsu TX was ahead by 10 points after three quarters before a 33-22 charge of Zhejiang Chouzhou Bank, which allowed them to win the game. American point guard Willie Warren (193-89, college: Oklahoma) notched 27 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists to lead the effort and Iranian forward Mohammad Samad Nikkhah Bahrami (199-83) supported him with 33 points (!!!). Zhejiang Chouzhou Bank's coach Ding Wei allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. Even a double-double of 25 points and 19 rebounds by Palestinian center Sani Sakakini (204-88) did not help to save the game for Jiangsu TX. American guard Von Wafer (196-85, college: Florida St.) added 40 points (!!!) and 4 assists for the hosts. Four Jiangsu TX players scored in double figures. Zhejiang Chouzhou Bank maintains seventh position with 8-6 record. Jiangsu TX lost fifth consecutive game. They dropped to the fifteenth place with nine games lost. Zhejiang Chouzhou Bank will play against Fujian (#13) in Jinjiang in the next round where they are favorite. Jiangsu TX will play on the road against Zhejiang Guangsha Lions in Hangzhou and hopes to get back on the winning track.
