No shocking result in a game when third ranked San Severo (9-2) defeated on the road 5th ranked Ortona (7-4) 69-63 on Sunday. The best player for the winners was naturalized Argentinian point guard Matias Di Marco (182-84) who scored 16 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Power forward Andrea Quarisa (202-92) chipped in 12 points and 9 rebounds. point guard Manuel Diomede (188-90, agency: Two Points) produced 16 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists and forward Ernani Comignani (200-82) added 13 points and 6 rebounds respectively for the hosts. Newly promoted San Severo maintains third place in B with 9-2 record behind leader Roma E-basket, which they share with Milano Urania. Ortona at the other side, also newcomer in the league, keeps the fifth position with four games lost. San Severo will face Valmontone (#13) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Ortona will play against Pescara (#6) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
