Regular Season Round 14: Foshan LL - North Control B. 104-109

There was no surprise when 19th ranked Foshan (3-11) was defeated at home by fifteenth ranked North Control (6-8) 109-104. Foshan was tied at the half but could not keep up in last two quarters eventually losing the game. North Control dominated down low during the game scoring 70 of its points in the paint compared to Foshan's 48. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. American forward Dorell Wright (206-85) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 46 points (!!!), 10 rebounds and 4 blocks. Uruguayan-Spanish power forward Esteban Batista (208-83, agency: Duran International) contributed with 29 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. American swingman Jabari Brown (193-92, college: Missouri, agency: Octagon Europe) replied with 38 points (!!!) and 6 rebounds and his fellow American import forward Jerrelle Benimon (203-91, college: Towson) added 21 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists in the effort for Foshan. Four Foshan players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. North Control moved-up to eleventh place, which they share with 3 other teams. Foshan at the other side dropped to the eighteenth position with 11 games lost. North Control's next round opponent will be Shanxi Zhongyu (#12) in Taiyuan. Foshan will play at home against Qingdao Eagles (#17) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
