Regular Season Round 12: Eskilstuna - Lobas 82-76

No shocking result in a game when second ranked Eskilstuna (9-2) beat at home 10th ranked Lobas (3-8) 82-76 on Sunday. However just six-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. The hosts started the game with a very strong first quarter 22-11. But Lobas won second period 24-21. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Eskilstuna dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Lobas' 34. They outrebounded Lobas 52-31 including a 18-5 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was a good game for guard Hannes Widell (183-94) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 15 points, 12 rebounds and 5 assists. Forward Derlin Kumbi (195-89) contributed with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. Guard Jesper Wennerholm (188-96) replied with 31 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists and Martin Nilsson (-92) added 16 points in the effort for Lobas. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Eskilstuna have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 9-2 record having just -3 point less than leader Hogsbo. Newly promoted Lobas keep the tenth place with eight games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
