Regular Season Round 11: Faenza - Piacenza 63-74

Everything went according to plan when third ranked Piacenza (9-2) won against on the road 11th ranked Faenza (4-7) 74-63 on Sunday. Strangely Faenza outrebounded Piacenza 33-17 including 21 on the defensive glass. The best player for the winners was guard Giovanni Gasparin (187-91, agency: Interperformances) who scored 12 points and 5 assists. Swingman Mattia Magrini (190-93) chipped in 10 points and 6 rebounds. Swingman Daniele Casadei (199-81) produced 27 points and 9 rebounds and guard Samuel Dal Fiume (185-83, agency: Interperformances) added 5 points, 5 rebounds and 11 assists respectively for the hosts. Piacenza maintains third place in B with 9-2 record behind leader Roma E-basket, which they share with Milano Urania. Newly promoted Faenza dropped to the tenth position with seven games lost. Piacenza will face Trecate (#16) at home in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Faenza will play against Bottegone (#14) and hope to win that game.
