There was a small surprise in San Giorgio where fourteenth ranked Fiorentina (3-8) won against 11th ranked Sangiorgese (4-7) 68-63 on Sunday. Fiorentina forced 23 Sangiorgese turnovers. The best player for the winners was forward Andrea Marusic (200-89) who scored 20 points and 6 rebounds. Forward Emanuele Di Giacomo (203-94) chipped in a double-double by scoring 10 points and 11 rebounds. Four Fiorentina players scored in double figures. Power forward Alessandro Priuli (200-86, agency: Players Group) produced 18 points and 7 rebounds and point guard Andrea Tassinari (182-96) added 15 points and 5 assists (was perfect 8-for-8 from the free throw line) respectively for the hosts. Fiorentina moved-up to thirteenth place in B, which they share with Padova. Sangiorgese lost fourth consecutive game. They dropped to the tenth position with seven games lost.
