Liga Endesa top team - Valencia Basket (9-0) managed to deliver another win. This time they beat fourteenth ranked Sevilla (3-6) 81-67. The game without a history. Valencia Basket led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They shot the lights out from three nailing 12 long-distance shots on high 52.2 percentage. The former international guard Rafael Martinez (190-82) stepped up and scored 22 points for the winners and American center Justin Hamilton (213-90, college: LSU, agency: Priority Sports) chipped in 15 points and 5 rebounds. The best for the losing side was Slovenian Bostjan Nachbar (206-80) with 14 points and swingman Alfonso Sanchez (198-87) scored 11 points. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Valencia Basket have an impressive series of nine victories in a row. They maintain first place with 9-0 record. Sevilla at the other side dropped to the thirteenth position with six games lost. They share it with UCAM Murcia and Iberostar Tener.. Valencia Basket will play against Baloncesto Fuenlabrada (#9) in Madrid in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Sevilla will play at home against FIATC Joventut (#8) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
