Regular Season Round 11: MKK Siedlce - Gdynia 77-91

Very expected game when 12th ranked MKK Siedlce (2-9) was defeated at home by fifth ranked Gdynia (7-3) 91-77. MKK Siedlce was ahead by 1 point after three quarters before a 26-11 charge of Gdynia, which allowed them to win the game. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. The former international swingman Agnieszka Bibrzycka (184-82, college: Abil.Christian) orchestrated the victory by scoring 22 points and 6 rebounds. Belarusian forward Tatyana Troina (188-81, college: S.Carolina) contributed with 18 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Gdynia's coach Katarzyna Dydek allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Guard Katarzyna Trzeciak (173-92) answered with 19 points and 6 assists and forward Magdalena Koperwas (177-93) added 21 points and 4 assists in the effort for MKK Siedlce. Four Gdynia and five MKK Siedlce players scored in double figures. Gdynia moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Artego Bydg. MKK Siedlce at the other side stay at the bottom position with nine games lost. Gdynia's next round opponent will be league's leader Wisla Krakow at home and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. MKK Siedlce will play against Widzew (#8) and hope to win that game.
