Regular Season Round 12: Brahe Basket - Hogsbo 45-119

Basketettan top team - Hogsbo (12-0) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed twelfth ranked Brahe Basket (1-9) in Huskvarna 119-45. The game without a history. Hogsbo led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Brahe Basket to just 6 points in first quarter. Hogsbo forced 38 Brahe Basket turnovers and outrebounded them 47-25 including a 31-18 advantage in defensive rebounds. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 35 assists comparing to just 8 passes made by Brahe Basket's players. The best player for the winners was Lucas Brehm (-91) who scored 28 points and 4 assists (on 11-of-14 shooting from the field). American forward R.J. Slawson (206-92, college: Jacksonville) chipped in 22 points and 6 rebounds (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field). Four Hogsbo players scored in double figures. Hogsbo's coach Jonas Fredrikson felt very confident that he used 11 players and allowed the starting five to rest. At the other side the best for losing team was Montenegrin power forward Merim Tokovic (208-86) who recorded a double-double by scoring 18 points and 11 rebounds and Mark Andersson added 9 points respectively. Hogsbo have an impressive 12-game winning streak. Newly promoted Hogsbo maintains first position with 12-0 record. Brahe Basket lost sixth consecutive game. They keep the twelfth place with nine games lost. Hogsbo will have a break next round. Brahe Basket will play on the road against Huddinge (#11) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
