Regular Season Round 11: Livorno - Santarcangelo 67-74
Date: December 6, 2015
Not a big story in a game when 12th ranked Livorno (4-7) was defeated at home by fourth ranked Santarcangelo (8-3) 74-67 on Sunday. Strangely Livorno outrebounded Santarcangelo 56-38 including a 25-7 advantage in offensive rebounds. Livorno was plagued by 26 personal fouls down the stretch. The best player for the winners was center Alberto Saponi (202-85) who had a double-double by scoring 19 points and 12 rebounds. Forward Francesco Bedetti (195-93, agency: Interperformances) chipped in 17 points and 9 rebounds. Four Santarcangelo players scored in double figures. Center Nicolo Ravazzani (200-85) produced a double-double by scoring 18 points and 32 rebounds and point guard Marco Perin (183-93) added 17 points and 4 assists respectively for the hosts. Newly promoted Santarcangelo maintains fourth place in B with 8-3 record, which they share with Bergamo and Crema. Loser Livorno dropped to the tenth position with seven games lost. Santarcangelo will face Rimini (#9) at home in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Livorno will play against Oleggio and hope to win that game.
