Regular Season Round 9: Slask Wroclaw - PGE Turow 72-85

The game between closely ranked teams ended with 14th ranked Slask's (2-8) home loss to thirteenth ranked PGE Turow (4-5) 72-85 on Monday. The game was mostly controlled by PGE Turow. Slask was better in second period 22-17. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The game was decided in the last minutes when PGE Turow won last quarter 30-18. Slask was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. The best player for the winners was Australian-Trinidad and Tobago guard Daniel Dillon (193-86, college: Arizona) who scored 26 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. The former international Filip Dylewicz (202-80) chipped in 18 points and 6 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was American power forward Jarvis Williams (203-93, college: Murray St.) who recorded a double-double by scoring 23 points and 10 rebounds (on 10-of-12 shooting from the field) and the other American import guard Rashad Madden (196-92, college: Arkansas) added 9 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists respectively. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. The victory was the third consecutive win for PGE Turow. They moved-up to tenth place, which they share with Stal Ostrow. Slask lost their sixth game in a row. They keep the fourteenth position with eight games lost. PGE Turow will face Wilki Morskie (#13) in Szczecin in the next round. Slask will play at home against MKS Dabrowa Gornicza and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
