Regular Season Round 6: Ramat Hasharon - Maccabi Ashdod 78-69

The most important game in the last round took place in Hasharon between third ranked Maccabi Ashdod (3-3) and fourth ranked Ramat Hasharon (4-2) on Monday night. Maccabi Ashdod was defeated by Ramat Hasharon in a tough game on the road 69-78. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Maccabi Ashdod. Ramat Hasharon made 22-of-28 free shots (78.6 percent) during the game. They outrebounded Maccabi Ashdod 42-27 including 28 on the defensive glass. It was a good game for American guard Laurin Mincy (183, college: Maryland) who led her team to a victory with 20 points and 6 assists. The other American import Emma Cannon (187-89, college: Cent.Florida, agency: LBM Management) contributed with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. The former international Shay Doron (175-85, college: Maryland) replied with 17 points and Nigerian center Olayinka Sanni (188-86, college: W.Virginia, agency: Josep and Nicolas) added 12 points and 4 assists in the effort for Maccabi Ashdod. Four Maccabi Ashdod players scored in double figures. Ramat Hasharon have a solid four-game winning streak. They moved-up to third place. Defending champion Maccabi Ashdod dropped to the fourth position with three games lost. Ramat Hasharon are looking forward to face bottom-ranked Hap.Petah Tikva (#8) on the road in the next round where they are favorite. Maccabi Ashdod will play against ASA Jerusalem (#5) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
