There was a small surprise when eighth ranked San Salvatore (6-4) beat at home 6th ranked Pordenone (6-5) 79-72 on Tuesday. Pordenone trailed by 12 points after 3 quarters before a 25-20 run in the last quarter cut the deficit to 72-79 at the end of the game. Worth to mention a great performance of Slovenian power forward Ana Ljubenovic (185-88) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 23 points and 15 rebounds. Guard Ada De Pasquale (173-95) contributed with 19 points for the winners. Four San Salvatore players scored in double figures. Center Sara Madera (186-0) replied with 13 points and 7 rebounds and point guard Rachele Porcu (165-97) added 17 points in the effort for Pordenone. Pordenone's coach Andrea Da Prato rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. San Salvatore moved-up to fifth place in A2. Newly promoted Pordenone dropped to the eighth position with five games lost. San Salvatore will face Costa Masnaga (#10) on the road in the next round where they are favorite. Pordenone will play against the league's leader Broni and hope to win that game.
