Regular Season Round 12: Orleans - ASVEL 50-70

ProA top team - ASVEL Lyon-Villeurbanne Basket (10-2) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed thirteenth ranked Entente Orleans 45 (5-7) 70-50. The game was mostly controlled by ASVEL Lyon-Villeurbanne Basket. Entente Orleans 45 was better in fourth quarter 12-8. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. ASVEL Lyon-Villeurbanne Basket players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists comparing to just 7 passes made by Entente Orleans 45's players. Worth to mention a quality performance of international Charles Kahudi (199-86, agency: Beo Basket) who helped to win the game recording 21 points and 5 rebounds (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field) and American center Darryl Watkins (211-84, college: Syracuse, agency: Inception Sports) who added 11 points and 7 rebounds during the contest. The best for the losing side was American Chevon Troutman (202-81, college: Pittsburgh, agency: Beo Basket) with 8 points and 5 rebounds and his fellow American import forward Marcellus Sommerville (200-82, college: Bradley, agency: DTMones) scored 9 points and 5 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. ASVEL Lyon-Villeurbanne Basket maintains first position with 10-2 record. Entente Orleans 45 lost fourth consecutive game. They dropped to the twelfth place with seven games lost. They share the position with Chalons-Reims. ASVEL Lyon-Villeurbanne Basket will play against Le Mans (#6) on the road in the next round where they are favorite. Entente Orleans 45 will play against JSF Nanterre (#8) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
