NBB top team - Paulistano (8-0) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed seventh ranked Minas (4-5) in Sao Paolo 82-50. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Minas. Paulistano players were unselfish on offense dishing 27 assists. The former international Luis Felipe Gruber (206-85) stepped up and scored 11 points and 9 rebounds for the winners and the former international center Caio Silveira (211-87, agency: Interperformances) chipped in 13 points and 6 rebounds (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field). Five Paulistano players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was center Ralfi Ansaloni (211-87) with 10 points and 8 rebounds and point guard Henrique Coelho (183-93) scored 9 points and 7 assists. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Paulistano have an impressive series of eight victories in a row. They maintain first place with 8-0 record. Minas at the other side keeps the seventh position with five games lost. They share it with B.Cearense. Paulistano will play against Brasilia (#9) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Minas will play against Liga Sorocaba in Sorocabana and hopes to get back on the winning track.
