There was a minor upset when 8th ranked Valsesia (5-6) was crushed on the road by tenth ranked Monsummano (5-6) 83-61 on Tuesday. Monsummano forced 22 Valsesia turnovers. Strangely Valsesia outrebounded Monsummano 40-20 including a 20-4 advantage in offensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was guard Tommaso Tempestini (180-87) who scored 22 points, 8 assists and 6 steals. Forward Gabriele Giarelli (197-93) chipped in 21 points and 6 rebounds. Four Monsummano players scored in double figures. Guard Nicolo Gatti (190-91) produced 12 points and 9 rebounds and swingman Edoardo Giovara (199-93, agency: SPORTlab Agency) added 9 points and 9 rebounds respectively for the guests. Monsummano moved-up to eighth place in B, which they share with Desio and Varese Coels.
