Not a big story in a game when 13th ranked Bolzano (2-8) was outscored at home by third ranked Team Crema (7-3) 73-42 on Tuesday. It was a very close game until the last quarter, when Team Crema's pressure prevailed and they won that period 29-5 extending their advantage to 31 points. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Bolzano to just 5 points in fourth quarter. Team Crema made 22-of-25 free shots (88.0 percent) during the game, while Bolzano only scored five points from the stripe. Team Crema forced 19 Bolzano turnovers. Worth to mention a great performance of Latvian forward Ieva Veinberga (185-84) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 19 points and 10 rebounds. Power forward Gilda Cerri (185-90) contributed with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 12 rebounds for the winners. Four Team Crema players scored in double figures. Guard Elena Zambarda (180-87) replied with 16 points and 6 rebounds and point guard Viviana Giordano (167-89) added 12 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Bolzano. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Team Crema maintains third position in A2 with 7-3 record having just three points less than leader Ferrara. Newly promoted Bolzano keeps the thirteenth place with eight games lost. Team Crema will face league's second-placed Milano at home in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Bolzano will play against Alpo VR (#6) in Verona and hope to win that game.
