Regular Season Round 14: CFBB - SAP Vaucluse 62-75

Bottom-ranked CFBB (0-14) tried to put together a comeback for its first victory of the season, but they fell short in the 75-62 loss to eighth ranked SAP Vaucluse (8-6) in Paris. The game was mostly controlled by SAP Vaucluse. CFBB was better in fourth quarter 17-8. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They made 20-of-24 charity shots (83.3 percent) during the game. SAP Vaucluse forced 24 CFBB turnovers. Strangely CFBB outrebounded SAP Vaucluse 41-27 including a 31-19 advantage in defensive rebounds. Erwan Andre (200-89) notched 16 points and 9 rebounds to lead the effort and guard Daye Kaba (191-86, college: Marist) supported him with 22 points. Even 12 points and 9 rebounds by international center Vincent Poirier (210-93, agency: Comsport) did not help to save the game for CFBB. Bathiste Tchouaffe (194-98) added 13 points and 7 rebounds for the hosts. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. SAP Vaucluse moved-up to sixth place, which they share with La Rochelle. CFBB at the other side still closes the standings with 14 games lost. SAP Vaucluse's next round opponent will be Angers BC (#11) on the road where they are favorite. CFBB will play against Caen (#12) and looks forward to get finally their first victory.
