Second Stage Round 7: Jiangsu - Bayi 68-63

The most crucial game of the last round was the first loss of Bayi Kylin (6-1) in Yixing on Tuesday night. Visitors were defeated by third ranked Jiangsu Phoenix (5-2) 68-63. It ended at the same time the six-game winning streak of Bayi Kylin. It may be a crucial game in the contest for the top position in Play Out. Bayi Kylin trailed by 12 points after 3 quarters before a 19-12 run in the last quarter cut the deficit to 63-68 at the end of the game. Jiangsu Phoenix forced 20 Bayi Kylin turnovers. Worth to mention a great performance of guard Na Jinwei (180-92) who helped to win the game recording 15 points. International point guard Xiaojia Chen (177-88) contributed with 16 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Four Jiangsu Phoenix players scored in double figures. International center Mengran Sun (197-92) answered with 15 points and 5 rebounds and point guard Jiayi Zuo (178-92) added 13 points in the effort for Bayi Kylin. Jiangsu Phoenix have a solid series of four victories in a row. They moved-up to second place in Play Out, which they share with Liaoning. Bayi Kylin at the other side still keeps top position with one game lost. Jiangsu Phoenix is looking forward to face league's second-placed Liaoning Hengye in Anshan in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Bayi Kylin will play at home against Heilongjiang Chenneng and is hoping to win this game.
