Rather predictable result when tenth ranked SKY/Basquete (4-5) won against on the road bottom-ranked Rio Claro (2-7) 77-68 on Wednesday. The guests were tied at the half but managed to speed up in last two quarters eventually winning the game. The former international Audrei Parisotto (196-84) nailed 19 points for the winning side and the former international point guard David Rossetto (180-93) accounted for 6 points, 8 rebounds and 7 assists. Four SKY/Basquete players scored in double figures. The former international Guilherme Teichmann (206-83, college: Tulsa) came up with 4 points, 16 rebounds and 5 assists and the former international Andre Stefanelli (196-84) added 19 points respectively for Rio Claro in the defeat. Rio Claro's coach Dede Barbosa rotated eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. SKY/Basquete moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Minas. Loser Rio Claro dropped to the bottom position with seven games lost. They share it with Caxias do Sul. SKY/Basquete will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Rio Claro will play against Universo/Vitoria (#11) and hope to secure a win.
