Regular Season Round 13: Huddinge - Brahe Basket 102-84

Rather predictable result when eleventh ranked Huddinge (3-7) defeated at home 13th ranked Brahe Basket (1-10) 102-84. The game was mostly controlled by Huddinge. Brahe Basket was better in third quarter 32-20. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Huddinge dominated down low during the game scoring 72 of its points in the paint compared to Brahe Basket's 42. Huddinge forced 19 Brahe Basket turnovers and outrebounded them 35-22 including 23 on the defensive glass. Adam Fontaine (-95) nailed a double-double by scoring 16 points, 15 rebounds and 6 assists for the winning side and Alan Bedirhanoglu (-96) accounted for 17 points, 7 rebounds and 9 assists. Huddinge's coach Iouannis Chatziathanasiou allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Vahe Gazigian came up with 33 points (!!!) and Mark Andersson added 16 points and 4 steals (perfect from the field making all six shots) respectively for Brahe Basket in the defeat. Five Huddinge and four Brahe Basket players scored in double figures. Huddinge have a solid series of three victories in a row. They moved-up to ninth place. Brahe Basket lost seventh consecutive game. They keep the thirteenth position with ten games lost. Huddinge will play against higher ranked Helsingborg (#7) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Brahe Basket will play against Trelleborg (#8) to get more than just one victory in their record.
