Regular Season Round 15: Liaoning H. - Bayi R. 106-96

There was no surprise in Yingkou where 17th ranked Bayi Rockets (4-11) were defeated by fifth ranked Liaoning Hunters (11-4) 106-96 on Wednesday. The game was mostly controlled by Liaoning Hunters. Bayi Rockets was better in third quarter 26-24. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Bayi Rockets 50-33 including a 27-13 advantage in offensive rebounds. Bayi Rockets were plagued by 34 personal fouls down the stretch. The best player for the winners was American Lester Hudson (190-84, college: Tenn-Martin, agency: Priority Sports) who had a double-double by scoring 22 points, 11 rebounds and 6 assists. The former international center Dejun Han (215-89) chipped in a double-double by scoring 20 points and 11 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was the former international guard Shuo Han (196-86) who recorded 16 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists and forward Yuchen Zou (197-96) added 17 points, 8 rebounds and 4 blocks respectively. Five Liaoning Hunters and four Bayi Rockets players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Liaoning Hunters moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Sichuan BW. Bayi Rockets lost third consecutive game. They keep the seventeenth position with 11 games lost. Liaoning Hunters will face Qingdao Eagles (#16) on the road in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Bayi Rockets will play against Fujian and hope to win that game.
