Regular Season Round 15: Zhejiang CB - Fujian QB 124-107

Everything went according to plan in Hangzhou where seventh ranked Zhejiang Chouzhou Bank (9-6) won against 13th ranked Fujian (6-9) 124-107 on Wednesday. The game was mostly controlled by Zhejiang Chouzhou Bank. Fujian was better in fourth quarter 28-25. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Zhejiang Chouzhou Bank shot the lights out from three sinking 16 long-distance shots on high 51.6 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists comparing to just 13 passes made by Fujian's players. The best player for the winners was American point guard Willie Warren (193-89, college: Oklahoma) who scored 30 points, 9 assists and 4 steals (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line). The former international JinHui Ding (204-89) chipped in 27 points and 8 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was American point guard Dwight Buycks (191-89, college: Marquette) who recorded 26 points and 7 rebounds and Lebanese swingman Fadi Khatib (199-79) added 26 points and 6 rebounds respectively. Four Zhejiang Chouzhou Bank and five Fujian players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Zhejiang Chouzhou Bank moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Shandong FB. Loser Fujian keeps the thirteenth position with nine games lost. Zhejiang Chouzhou Bank will face DongGuan Leopards (#8) at home in the next round. Fujian will play against Bayi Rockets (#17) in Ningbo and hope to win that game.
