Regular Season Round 10: Olimpia - RGUOR 66-48

Premier League top team - Olimpia GrGAU (9-0) had no problems winning another game. This time they beat fifth ranked RGUOR (5-7) in Grodno 66-48. The game was mostly controlled by Olimpia GrGAU. RGUOR was better in fourth quarter 8-4. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Guard Maryia Miasnikova (175-97) notched 13 points to lead the effort and the former international Maryia Filonchyk (189-92) supported her with 11 points and 5 rebounds. Olimpia GrGAU's coach Aliaksandr Shimkovyak allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Even a double-double of 13 points and 11 rebounds by guard Ksenia Malashko (173-0) did not help to save the game for RGUOR. Yuliya Scharbakova added 5 points and 5 rebounds for lost side. Olimpia GrGAU have an impressive nine-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 9-0 record, which they share with Tsmoki-Minsk. RGUOR lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the sixth place with seven games lost. Olimpia GrGAU will play against bottom-ranked Kameya (#9) in Smolensk in the next round and are hoping to win another game. RGUOR will play on the road against Victoria in Grodno and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
