Regular Season Round 13: Helsingborg - Wetterbygden 86-74

The game between closely ranked teams ended with 9th ranked Wetterbygden's (3-8) road loss to eighth ranked Helsingborg (5-6) 74-86. It looked good early as Wetterbygden took a 7-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then Helsingborg had a 31-16 second period charge getting the lead and Wetterbygden was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 74-86. Helsingborg players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. Swingman Simon Birgander (207-97) nailed 5 points, 12 rebounds and 7 assists for the winning side and forward Erik Joelsson (198-97) accounted for 16 points and 5 rebounds (perfect from the field making all six shots). Mustafa Allotey (184-97) came up with 17 points and guard Albin Eriksson (189-96) added 20 points respectively for Wetterbygden in the defeat. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Wetterbygden's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Helsingborg moved-up to seventh place. Newly promoted Wetterbygden dropped to the tenth position with eight games lost. They share it with Lobas. Helsingborg will play against Huddinge (#9) at home in the next round. Wetterbygden will play against Boras II and hopes to get back on the winning track.
