Regular Season Round 10: PGE Turow - Polfarmex KT 68-70

A very close game took place in Zgorzelec between AZS Polfarmex and PGE Turow. Seventh ranked AZS Polfarmex (7-4) got a very close victory on the road over 12th ranked PGE Turow (4-7). AZS Polfarmex managed to escape with a 2-point win 70-68 on Thursday evening. Guest team only slightly avoided a big embarassment. The guests were tied at the half but managed to speed up in last two quarters eventually winning the game. AZS Polfarmex outrebounded PGE Turow 41-24 including a 30-18 advantage in defensive rebounds. American power forward Kevin Johnson (201-84, college: Humboldt St.) notched 10 points and 8 rebounds to lead the effort and the other American import point guard Adonte Parker (186-89, college: Dayton) supported him with 11 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Four AZS Polfarmex players scored in double figures. AZS Polfarmex's coach Jaroslaw Krysiewicz used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. Even 23 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists by Australian-Trinidad and Tobago guard Daniel Dillon (193-86, college: Arizona) did not help to save the game for PGE Turow. The former international Filip Dylewicz (202-80) added 17 points and 7 rebounds for lost side. AZS Polfarmex moved-up to sixth place. PGE Turow at the other side dropped to the thirteenth position with seven games lost. AZS Polfarmex will meet at home higher ranked Twarde Pierniki (#3) in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. PGE Turow will play against Polpharma (#17) in Starogard and hope to secure a win.
