Regular Season Round 13: Sallen - Telge 90-62

The game between third ranked Telge (10-3) and fourth ranked Sallen (9-4) was the most important one in the last round on Thursday night. Telge was crushed by Sallen in Uppsala 62-90. The game without a history. Sallen led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Sallen outrebounded Telge 37-23 including 23 on the defensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of American swingman Christy Bacon (182-80, college: Wyoming) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 16 points and 11 rebounds. Her fellow American import guard Tiffany Brown (165-86, college: Georgia South) contributed with 18 points and 7 assists for the winners. Five Sallen players scored in double figures. Sallen's coach Johan Persson felt very confident using 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Forward Ellen Astrom (170-96) answered with 12 points, 5 rebounds and 8 assists and American Ashley Daniels (186-89, college: Arkansas, agency: Two Points) added 15 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Telge. Sallen have a solid series of three victories in a row. They maintain fourth place with 9-4 record. Telge at the other side keeps the third position with three games lost. Sallen are looking forward to face Mark Basket (#5) in Kinna in the next round. Telge will play on the road against Akropol in Spanga and is hoping to win this game.
