Regular Season Round 10: Crocodiles - 36ers 101-100

There was a minor upset when 5th ranked Adelaide 36ers (8-9) were edged by seventh ranked Townsville Crocodiles (6-12) in Wulguru 101-100 on Thursday. The hosts trailed by 7 points after three quarters before their 27-19 charge, which allowed them to win the game. Townsville Crocodiles shot the lights out from three sinking 13 long-distance shots on high 54.2 percentage. It was a very good performance for American guard Jordair Jett (188-91, college: St.Louis) who helped to win the game recording 21 points and 5 assists. Power forward Nicholas Kay (205-92, college: Metro St.) contributed with 19 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. American-Ukrainian point guard Jerome Randle (175-87, college: California) replied with 28 points and 7 assists (made all of his eight free throws) and the former international power forward Daniel Johnson (210-88, college: Pepperdine) added 21 points and 9 rebounds in the effort for Adelaide 36ers. Five Townsville Crocodiles and four Adelaide 36ers players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Townsville Crocodiles maintains seventh position with 6-12 record. Adelaide 36ers lost third consecutive game. They keep the fifth place with nine games lost. Townsville Crocodiles will face league's leader Perth Wildcats at home in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game.
