Very expected game in Minsk where 7th ranked Victoria (3-8) was crushed by third ranked Gorizont (8-2) 85-44 on Thursday. The game without a history. Gorizont led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Victoria to just 7 points in second quarter. Gorizont dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Victoria's 28. Gorizont forced 19 Victoria turnovers. Forward Nadzeya Nadzezhka (180-87) scored 13 points and 6 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and Dutch point guard Francisca Petronelia Donders (170-89, agency: LBM Management) chipped in 12 points and 6 assists during the contest. At the losing side power forward Mariya Vasilevko (183-99) responded with 17 points and 7 rebounds and guard Yuliya Ruksha (164-98) scored 7 points. They maintain third position with 8-2 record behind leader Tsmoki-Minsk. Victoria lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the seventh place with eight games lost. Gorizont will face BrGU COR Victoria (#7) in Brest in the next round. Victoria will play at home against RGUOR and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
