WCBA top team - Bayi Kylin (12-8) had no problems winning another game on Thursday. This time they beat fifth ranked Heilongjiang Chenneng (2-16) in Yinzhou 91-73. Bayi Kylin made 23-of-28 free shots (82.1 percent) during the game. Bayi Kylin outrebounded Heilongjiang Chenneng 34-19 including a 25-14 advantage in defensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was international center Mengran Sun (197-92) who scored 18 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. International center Liting Zhang (199-94) chipped in 19 points and 6 rebounds (was perfect 9-for-9 from the free throw line !!!). The former international guard YanYan Ji (182-85) produced 25 points and international forward Jiahe Zhang (182-94) added 10 points, 6 assists and 6 steals respectively for the guests. Five Bayi Kylin and four Heilongjiang Chenneng players scored in double figures. Heilongjiang Chenneng's coach rotated ten players seeing no chance for a win. Bayi Kylin maintains first position in Play Out with 12-8 record, which they share with Jiangsu. Loser Heilongjiang Chenneng keeps the fifth place with 16 games lost. Bayi Kylin will meet Henan (#4) in the next round. Heilongjiang Chenneng will play against the league's second-placed Liaoning Hengye in Anshan and hope to secure a win.
